A 9-year-old girl’s family in Georgia said she is lucky enough to be alive when she’s plowed by a car in the front yard. The monitoring video illustrates the harrowing moments of the black sedan in LaDerihanna Holmes as they played with a friend outside her Lithonia house on Friday.
The mother of Charlette Bolton, Holmes, said that her skull and shoulder were fractured and her pelvic bone was broken in the three places by La Derihanna. A friend of LaDerihanna was hospitalized too, but not wounded severely.
Police DeKalb County said the car driver and a passenger both got out of the vehicle and ran away after they collided into the house front. The police talked to the car’s owner, who said that that it was her boyfriend’s. No suspects have been recognized.
When Stewart saw the video, he said: “he nearly fell out of my chair.” And he went on to visit LaDerihanna in the hospital and then went to her in the bed and wondered how she was sitting down here, looking at the televisions, holding her teddy bear when I just watched her smashed with a vehicle?” As soon as she heard the “unearthing sound,” Bolton, who was home, ran outside.
Before her dad whisked her to hospital, a kid from the neighborhood and brother LaDerihanna began to carry on the CPR. For at least a week, she is supposed to be hospitalized, however, her parents said she was well recovered.
“She’s up, she’s talking, she’s smiling, she’s FaceTiming,” Bolton said. “She’s awake.”
Her mom has said that LaDerihanna, a student straight-A, likes to go to college, read, cheerlead, dance and step.
