After the achievement of Stranger Things, the daughter of the famous 90s actor Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, Maya Hawke has gained fame. Hawke was playing Robin, one of the series only two LGBTQ protagonists.
Her role as a super-smart vendor of ice cream, who breaks a secret Russian code by himself, has won many hearts. It seems to be a luckier year for Maya as she plays a part in the multi-starrer, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino as well.
Maya disclosed how she bagged a position in one of 2019’s greatest films in the latest interview with an entertainment portal.
She disclosed how she was helped by her dad Ethan Hawke, Before Sunrise’s famous actor and Dead Poets Society during her audition phase. “Through my agents, I received an audition for the project through the ordinary channels. I auditioned with my father in my bedroom. We sent a tape to Quentin and I received a callback. He actually arranged a really incredible callback process that was unlike anything I’ve ever been through, except perhaps a drama school audition. It was the whole day. We worked on the scene in many distinct places and with many different people combinations, and he ultimately discovered a group of individuals doing the scene in a manner he enjoyed. And then everyone came home and there was a call.”
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is the ninth film by Quentin Tarantino. It stars in significant roles Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margo Robbie. The movie also features the latest finalists from Elvis Presley, Austin Butler, and late actor Luke Perry.
