Actor Elizabeth Olsen who portrayed the role of ‘Wanda Maximoff’in the Avengers series could have been the strong, confident and courageous Khaleesi. But, probably luck was not on her side and she couldn’t make it.
The ‘Avengers Endgame’ actor recently appeared on the show ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ and revealed that she auditioned for the role of Khaleesi and forgot that she even tried for the role because of a terrible experience. “I auditioned for Khaleesi, but I also forgot that I auditioned for it,” said Elizbeth.
“Someone had asked like about a terrible audition experience – a journalist and I was like, ‘I actually really love auditioning, I can’t really think of anything. Oh! Right! I auditioned for Game of Thrones’,” told Elizabeth recalling the bad memory of the audition.
The 30-year-old actor went on to tell that she was auditioning the scene where Khaleesi gets burned alive and that she was reading with the casting director because no one else was available. “It was for Khaleesi – she was just burned alive and then I start making this huge speech. I was in the smallest room with the casting director, they didn’t even have a reader, and that was the furthest I ever got,” said Olsen and added further “It was that bad.”
When the host Kelly Ripa asked the actor if she can sense when an audition is going bad, Olsen replied that when it came to the role for the HBO series, she did.
On the work front, Olsen will be next seen in Disney’s upcoming movie ‘WandaVision’, which is set to release in 2021.
