The final chapter of Netflix’s high school drama 13 Reasons why is coming soon, with its fourth season.
Season three was made available for all the fans, when it was released on August 24 this year. With the mysterious ending of season three, in which we saw unexpected murder of footballer Bryce Walker, fans are eagerly waiting for the next season. But the announcement of August 1 kept them satisfied, where the creators announced the show’s renewal for the fourth season as well, prior to season three’s release.
Fans waited for season 3 for a period of fifteen-month, but they won’t have to wait for the next one longer as it is already under production. Though, no official release date has been given yet, however, the show is expected to release in 2020 containing 13 episodes similarly to the previous three seasons.
Nothing regarding the story is yet revealed, however, considering the story of season 3, it is expected the show will end all previous mysteries solved, creating a bigger and better season this time.
In the last season, a leap of 8 months from season 2 was shown which focused on teens of the Liberty High School struggling to stop Tyler from carrying out a mass school shooting and will they succeed without any other sort of obstructions or the future holds more twists and turns, only season 4 can tell.
As per the reports, the final season will feature the core cast’s graduation from Liberty High school with Brian Yorkey serving as showrunner, and executive producer alongside Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin, Selena Gomez and Joy Gorman.
As to why it was coming to an end, a Netflix spokesperson has said, “Series four will feature the core cast’s graduation from High School which will be a natural conclusion to the show.”
