Police say that a packed plane was required to make an emergency landing after a drunk passenger groped a sleeping mother and her daughter.
On Tuesday, the American Airlines jet from Charlotte, North Carolina to Salt Lake City in Utah landed in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Police then boarded the plane and evacuated the suspected physical pest, James Cholewinski.
According to a source, Cholewinski reportedly touched both women in his row and groped the terrified mother numerous times.
His alleged act prompted the women to ‘frantically call’ the flight attendants, who moved them to another seat, a source reported.
After the plane landed in Tulsa, police who boarded seen that Cholewinski’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and his voice was blurred.
The video footage filmed by passengers revealed him being escorted from the plane.
He was accused of public intoxication and bailed before his court appearance scheduled on Friday.
After Cholewinski was removed from the plane, the plane again took off and proceeded to its final destination.
A source said that the FBI are now examining the alleged physical attack as it occurred in mid-air.
“American Airlines flight 807 from Charlotte to Salt Lake City landed to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday night due to a disruptive passenger,” An American Airlines spokesman states.
“Law execution met the flight, took the passenger from the flight, and the flight proceeded to Salt Lake City.”
