Des Moines police said a lady was hauled into a man’s condo and explicitly ambushed.
Sgt. Paul Parizek told reports that the person in question and James Arthur Edwards, 30, of Des Moines, was with a gathering of individuals joining in an apartment on the 3800 square of Martin Luther King Parkway. Edwards welcomed the unfortunate casualty to go somewhere else, and she declined.
Thirty-year-old James Edwards is accused of first-degree kidnapping and second-degree physical abuse misuse.
The victim later came back to her apartment, Parizek said. While home, she heard a thump on the entryway and expected it was her friend. At the point when she addressed the entryway, Edwards was there.
Edwards hit on her entryway and hauled her again into that friend’s apartment. Police said he forced her into the washroom and endeavored to explicitly ambush her while showing a BB weapon.
As per Parizek, Edwards snatched the person in question and hauled her back to the condo they were in previously endeavoring to explicitly attack her in the washroom.
She advised police she persuaded him to release her grasp a few things from her condo so they could go somewhere else. The injured individual came back to her house and called the police.
It was certainly quick thinking on her part,” Parizek said. “She had the option to think of an arrangement to get herself away from him and spot a phone call to the police.
Edwards was captured on doubt of first-degree kidnapping and second-degree physical abuse misuse. He’s being kept in the Polk County Jail without bail.
