A suspect is on the loose after a 19-year-old teen who was discovered lying in the street overnight with a gunshot injury, police said.
Police stated that a man was discovered lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound on Saturday night. The identity of the injured man has not been released by the officials.
At approximately 9 p.m, police responded to the gun firing at the intersection of Dwight Ave. and Mallory Rd. When the police reached at the scene they found the teen injured and is now in critical condition at a hospital.
Police say there is no reason to think that there is any danger to the neighborhood linked to the incident.
Rockland Paramedics and Springhill Ambulance Corps initially take the injured victim to Nyack Hospital. According to the police, he has since been carried to Westchester Medical Center and is in critical condition.
Any further information about the incident is not been released by the officials as this is an ongoing investigation. And the investigators are asking for any information about the incident that can aid in solving the case.
