An Oregon mother is handling wrongful charges after she supposedly physically assaulted a 14-year-old boy she joined and met on social media.
News reported that the victim frequented the same school as teacher Rheta Melvin’s girl. The victim and his mother reportedly informed the police that Melvin, 36, joined the victim on social media app and began sending him texts.
After giving -explicit photos, the boy told Melvin attracted him to a vehicle and quickly pushed before physically assaulting him in the backseat of her car. Melvin supposedly attempted to talk to the boy after the December 4 contact to coincide up again but he appeared nervous and made explanations to avoid her, according to the release news report.
Officials reportedly examined one text in which the victim said Melvin that he was not adjusting with his ex, proposing Melvin to react that he might be “protecting himself” for her.
The victim’s mother reportedly heard of the wrong and illegal relationship through another parent. While Melvin originally refused to engage in physical relations with the victim, she supposedly confessed to messaging the boy as she thought he was 17 or 18.
Melvin demanded the victim demanded the -explicit photographs but told that she may have demanded some wrong photos from him as well, according to the release station.
The boy gave official with the shirt he states he was dressing during the illegal encounter with Melvin. On December 5, officers made a search permission at Melvin’s home.
Melvin reportedly confessed to sending lewd texts to other young children. Still, she denied to give further data concerning those conflicts.
Melvin was filled with physical abuse, molestation, according to the physical crime of a minor, online intimate corruption of a child, and luring a minor. News reported that the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is in the method of locating further victims.
