THE PLOT:

Season two will find a new cast of eight teams from the US and abroad competing for their spot in history with three challenges that test creativity, skill, and knowledge of barbecue cooking. The list of contenders includes 12 teams from across the country. Each team will be competing for a $100,000 cash award as well as a trophy.

The judges in season two are a celebrity and musician Chad Smith from Chickenfoot; Anthony Hamilton- Grammy Award winner and singer is known for his signature vocal style on “Unbreak My Heart”; renowned chef and author Hugh Acheson; Curtis Stone, star of Top Chef Masters and best-selling cookbook author.

Season two of AMERICAN BARBECUE SHOWDOWN will have a new location, Los Angeles. Filming will take place at various locations in LA where producers are able to take advantage of their world-renowned BBQ restaurants and other iconic landmarks such as Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Warner Brothers Studios, and Universal Studios. The teams will be competing for $50,000 in prize money, which they can use to create a new BBQ joint of their dreams or go back home with some cash in hand.

EXPECTATIONS:
