The wait is over! Date A Live Season 4 has been confirmed to be released on OCTOBER 12th, 2021. The story of this season will take place after the events that happened in Date A Live III, with Tohka’s group and Shido’s group trying to find a way to save the world from destruction. This season will also have a new character named Rio, who is an AI created by Kaguya for her research purposes. DATE A LIVE is a Japanese light novel series by Koushi Tachibana. The story centers on Shido Itsuka, who finds himself in the body of another man, named Shidou Tsurugi, and must now keep his distance from those he cares about for fear that he will cause them harm. After discovering the ability to time-travel, he is able to save people and changes history as he knows it.

The anime is currently airing on TV in Japan and has been confirmed to be returning for a fourth season. The release date of the series will likely coincide with when it airs in Japan, but we can expect that it’ll air in October 2021 this year!
THE PLOT:
Shido Itsuka is a high school student and the only son of a widower, Touya Takumi. He lives with his pretty younger sister Kotori and grandmother in Tokyo’s Nerima ward but feels lonely due to his lack of friends.
One day, he sees another girl standing on top of the train station opposite him when she suddenly falls down the platform towards the tracks. He saves her by using his powers to jump out and push her away from danger but is seen doing this by a strange girl who tells him that she’s “the Cures’ enemy.”
It centers on Shido Itsuka, a high school student who has the ability to see supernatural beings. He is also being targeted by these creatures because of his special sight. Unable to fully take care of himself, he seeks out assistance from someone else with similar abilities as he called Tohka Yatogami, and they come into each other’s lives.
THE STARRING CAST:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Shido Itsuka
- Kaori Nazuka as Kotori Izumi, a Spirit who is the spokesperson for all Spirits and has been appointed by God to protect Shidou Tsurugi from danger; also falls in love with him at first sight.
- Noriaki Sugiyama as Kurumi Muguruma, a Spirit who takes care of Cero at her house
- Mamoru Miyano as Mikado Rindou, Shidou Tsurugi’s classmate and friend
- Ai Kakuma as Origami Ikaruga (a.k.a “Ika”), a Spirit who is very taciturn and prefers to be alone.
- Aya Endo as Kaguya Yamai, one of Shidou Tsurugi’s classmates
- Kousuke Toriumi as Reiji Yasuhara, an Instrumentality Project researcher
The series is expected to have a season three announcement in the future, as it has been hinted at many times throughout the show’s two seasons that something of this nature could occur. The Cures are back in action to protect the world from the new threat of the “Joker,” who is brewing trouble for them at every turn! In this season, you can expect more out-of-this-world battles and heartwarming romance with our Cures as they always find a way to overcome in the end!
