When it comes to “Man of Steel 2”, David Goyer had this to say: “I’ve heard those rumors too.” The man behind the dark knight trilogy and man of steel is not involved with man of steel 2, but he did have some interesting things to say about what may happen in a potential sequel.
While talking with THR, Goyer was questioned about man of iron 2 (as well as other DC films), where THR mentioned there are rumors about a potential sequel. However, when asked if Goyer has any knowledge on the subject- he said that he has also heard these same rumors.
Goyer mentioned saying, “I know they’re talking about it.” Goyer does not have any involvement with “Man of Steel” and “Man of Iron” because he is busy writing son of Batman for the next few years.
Rumors on “Man of Steel 2”
It is rumored that “Man of Steel” may or may not happen. “Man of Steel” is a sequel to “Man of Iron”. character dialogue and plot are unknown at this time, but it has been confirmed that Henry Cavill will return as the new Superman. “Man of Iron” was rumored for years before being released in 2013 with Zack Snyder directing (though David S Goyer wrote the screenplay).
The film stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman while he alter ego fights crime on the streets of Gotham City alongside district attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, played by Christian Bale and Gary Oldman respectively. When millionaire playboy Carl Grissom launches an elaborate plan to sink all evidence linking him to Batman’s increasing levels of violence, he sets off one final scheme which includes kidnapping Rachel Dawes and is seen that Batman can’t be part of a healthy love life.
The film concludes with the death of Bruce Wayne, who is seen to have become a man without fear and has used his power for good as Batman at night but by day he sheds this persona in favor of becoming man another rich man named “Bruce Wayne.” With Rachel Dawes no longer an obstacle, Harvey Dent becomes Gotham’s new District Attorney while James Gordon retires from the GCPD after being shot twice in one leg.
In addition to bringing peace to Gotham City for some time, it also appears that Lieutenant James Gordon will take over as Batman while Bruce returns to what might now be considered his second identity: the man without fear (or man outside).

The man of steel has been flying solo for all this time. He’s the last son of Krypton, a refugee on Earth who is trying to find his way in life while struggling with what it means to be human.
From the ashes he found himself and became Clark Kent, an investigative reporter at The Daily Planet; but when the home planet comes looking for him – they get more than they bargained for! It may not have seemed like Superman had much humanity left after saving Metropolis from General Zod’s army over two years ago. But now that we know about Kal-El’s past as well there might yet be hope in both identities!

Release Date of “Man of Steel Part 2”
According to a new report, Man of Steel 2 is not in development at DC Films, despite Henry Cavill re-entering negotiations to play Superman on the big screen again. Released in 2013, Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel was the first movie in Warner Bros.’ planned DC Extended Universe, and in 2014 Warner Bros. announced that a sequel was in development alongside a massive slate of connected DC movies.
