What inspired you to write the Escape the Field series?

The series is inspired by the Shane West’s Farm Series which was in development for a long time before I took it over. The Escape the Field series reached new heights with a lot of positive feedback from the Shane West fans and players. I just wanted to continue the original story that people have been enjoying for many years.

What do you like about Escape the Field?

I love how players can collect coins and use it to buy new upgrades and characters in-game, with the power to customize their experience as they progress throughout each level. I also love how players can collect keys to free themselves from dangerous situations such as being trapped in a cornfield filled with zombies, or locked inside a moving truck while trying to escape other monsters.

What makes your game so different from similar games?

There are two main ways Escape the Field is different from other similar games. The first is that it encourages players to think on their feet during gameplay by having them use a button, rather than just pressing a button, in order to trigger specific actions. The second way it’s different is with its quirky sense of humor. The game provides a lighthearted approach to a genre that tends to take itself too seriously.

What’s your favorite part about Escape the Field?

What prompted you to write Escape the Field?

I had been making Escape The Field games since 2012 and I just wanted to put them out on YouTube so people could enjoy them too, but YouTube didn’t have any kind of support whatsoever for creating channels with games. So I decided to engage with readers on Reddit was a better option as people there were more willing to play my games, and also more eager to get involved in making new ones!
