The second season of invincible has been announced! Amazon’s animated superhero series Invincible, which originally came to Amazon on March 25, 2021, with a weekly episode drop, followed Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), a seemingly average high school boy who also happens to be the son of the world’s most powerful superhero, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons).

As Mark begins to discover his own special abilities and ventures forth with his new eponymous superhero identity, the challenges in balancing a normal life with his cape-crusading adventures put him on a path of profound discovery, and extreme destruction. Renewal Status of “Invincible Season 2”

When the first season was still airing on Amazon Prime, the production announced the renewal of Season 2. Kirkman revealed to Collider earlier in the year that some heavy development work had gone into mapping out the series, so it seems he and his team have already put the story beats in motion for Season 2 and beyond. And considering the number of issues, there are in the comics series, there are many possibilities for where the story will go and how long it could run.

Plot Summary of “Invincible Season 2”

As we just mentioned, there are so many directions the show can go in Season 2. So instead of tossing out wild speculations, let’s lean into the storytelling seeds Season 1 left behind. The show’s protagonist, Mark Grayson, is still trying to balance being a normal high school student with his life as the son of one of Earth’s greatest superheroes. His father has been missing for some time and he also doesn’t know that his mother was actually an energy vampire.

A number of episodes in Season One thematically centered around him coming to terms with this duality between himself and superheroes-and it seems like there will be far more exploring of that conflict in upcoming seasons. Meanwhile, Invincible continues to face off against all manner of villains from superpowers gone awry (like those poor people at the mall) or invasions from distant planets where humans are treated as slaves or worse (such as Invincible’s first opponent, Nolan Gray).
