ABOUT RICK AND MORTY SEASON 6:
Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, the show follows Rick, a mad scientist, and his grandson Morty as they go on crazy adventures throughout time and space! The series premiered in 2013. In November 2016, Adult Swim renewed RICK AND MORTY for a third and fourth season, which are the first seasons to be 30-minutes in length. Season three premiered on July 26th, 2017 with ten episodes airing over two days of broadcasting.

The show is set to premiere in 2022 with only one episode being released that day. The rest of the season will be revealed throughout 2022 as well!
PRODUCTION:
Season six is being produced by the same team that has delivered us so many seasons of Rick and Morty. The show is currently produced by Justin Roiland’s Blip Studios (formerly known as Channel 101) for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block. Season one of the show premiered in 2013 and has been renewed for an additional 70 episodes, bringing it to a total of 75 episodes over four seasons.
The series was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon who respectively voice Rick Sanchez (a mad scientist) and his grandson Morty Smith (the protagonist). Season six will be the first episode of Rick and Morty that is not written in a linear format, as it will be more broken up with different segments.
THE PLOT:
In the new season, Rick and Morty are taking a lot of time off for some reason – perhaps because they’re not getting along? Jerry is busy being an “ideal dad” to Beth’s newly Rick and Morty is back! It’ll be an adventure unlike any other as things have really changed for our heroes since we last saw them.
Morty has graduated from high school but he doesn’t seem too happy about it. Rick’s daughter Beth is going to school on her own now and Summer has taken off for parts unknown with a suitcase of clothes but no explanation as to why she left.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen our favorite characters, so what has happened to them? Well, not much. Rick is as cantankerous and brilliant as ever but he seems more content than last season. Morty is still his sidekick that does whatever Rick tells him to do like some kind of good-natured dog. Jerry is still stuck in a job that he hates because he’s too lazy to get out and do anything about it, while Beth continues her descent into a life of alcoholism.

The voice actors for the show are just as diverse and talented. With Rick voiced by Justin Roiland, Morty portrayed by Justin’s real-life son Jack, Jessica Walter voicing grandma Beth, Chris Parnell (who voices Jerry) is also known for his work on Saturday Night Live.

EXPECTATIONS:
In the latest season, Rick and Morty have to deal with a mad scientist named Dr. Xenon Bloom who has invented an army of nanobots called the Evil Army of Living Brainz (EAB). His plan? To make himself into a living brain in order for him to control all other brains around him! Will they stop this mad genius’s plan? Will they finally find out how the hell Rick got his hand back? You’ll have to tune in and see!
