The new season of Snowpiercer is coming back, and we have all the details you need to know! The third installment in this series will be premiering on TNT with a 10 episode order. This post will tell you everything about what’s been revealed so far, including the plot, cast members, release date, and storyline. The first thing you should know about the upcoming season of Snowpiercer is that it will be premiering on TNT with a final order of ten episodes. This was confirmed by showrunner Joon-Ho Bong in an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in November 2018. That’s great news for fans because this means we won’t have to wait as long between seasons and if history repeats itself there probably won’t be any more than two years before Season Four premieres!
A few months ago, TNT released a teaser trailer for Snowpiercer Season Three that revealed there will be two new main characters: The Voice and Anka. All we know about them so far is that they are the creators of this training world and do not appear on screen yet. You can watch the full teaser in our YouTube playlist above! It’s also worth noting that at least five actors who were recurring cast members last season (including Tony Award winner Jennifer Ehle) don’t seem to have been recast or mentioned by name in any interviews with showrunners Joon-Ho Bong and Josh Friedman. Season Recap
In the first season we found, Curtis (played by the late actor Luke Pasqualino) as he emerges from a train disaster for which he must shoulder all responsibility. The elites of society are on board, and they take possession while Curtis is left to survive in the harsh conditions outside with nothing but his wits to protect him against any threat that might come along – including those within Snowpiercer itself. But it’s too soon! We need more time with this show before we can say goodbye!
In the second season, Curtis and the rebels are on board with a plan to take down Snowpiercer. But they’re not the only ones who want it destroyed. The second season of this high-octane action-thriller is sure to be as gripping, intense, and suspenseful as ever!
Snowpiercer Season 3: Plot
Set two years after last season’s finale, Curtis (played by actor Shaun Ross) has become our hero at large in order to search for more resources that will help them survive outside of their train car world. There also might have been some people we haven’t seen before? One thing’s for certain – nobody can stop Curtis now!
Release Date
So far, the show has had a pretty quick turnaround, with less than a full year between seasons as the first series released in May 2020 and the second made it to screens in January 2021, with filming going ahead despite the pandemic.
Production on Snowpiercer season 3 reportedly started in early March in Canada and is expected to continue until the end of July of this year, meaning that we can expect the Snowpiercer to come to our screens by the end of the year in the best-case scenario. More likely, though, is early 2022.
