What is Season 3 all about?
Season three is all about Hope’s departure and Claire McCrea taking charge, but not without Bill and the rest of Virgin River getting in their two cents. Season three starts with Hope’s last day at work before she heads to Boston for her new job as head physician at a surgical center there.
Hope doesn’t want to be too far from, so she plans on coming back to Virgin River often. Hope also wants her family and friends there for emotional support as they all watch Hope’s life in Boston unfold through Skype video chats with Hope and Bill. The McCrea parents are not the only ones who have issues adjusting to Hope’s absence—Claire is having a hard time too. Hope brings a lot of laughter and light to Virgin River, so everyone is sad she’s gone.

One name noticeably missing from the list is Lexa Doig, who plays Paige.
