Many gamers may have a passing knowledge of the game LEGO Star Wars, but those who have played it in its entirety are more likely to be familiar with the character Jar Jar Binks. The short and squat Gungan is an outcast from his people, and he is looked down upon by other characters for his clumsiness. However, he has proved himself to be a talented strategist as well as a fighter in combat. In some gameplay modes of the game, players are required to keep Jar Jar alive for five levels or more.

Some of you may have wondered why the battle with the Separatist Droid Army is so difficult for Jar Jar to win. Why is that

The game has many hidden elements and challenges, and one of them is the requirement to keep Jar Jar alive as long as possible. The game provides several ways for the player to do so (i.e. using Supa-Cool, using Paddling Pool, using Solar Sailer). If you are fond of doing these challenges, here’s a guide from us on how to make it easier. This guide was originally posted on the Lego Message Boards by Jaydee 521.

Go to “Jar Jar Binks” (Jedi), and have him walk towards the Stone Monument. Then, quickly switch to a character that is nearby the Stone Monument (Darth Vader or General Grevious, or Count Dooku is recommended) and press “A”. Have them get closer to it. Use Jar Jar’s Paddling Pool ability on it. Alternatively, press “B” for Jar Jar’s Supa-Cool ability, then use it on a character close to the Stone Monument who has high health (ex: Mace Windu) for an even faster means of unlocking this achievement.

After getting the achievement, you might want to use Jar Jar’s other abilities for faster kills. For example: When in a duel with Count Dooku, Jar Jar activates his Supa-Cool ability and sticks it on Dooku, then presses “A” when the icon appears above Dooku’s head.

It seems that the Stone Monument is not the only object that can be used to shorten the game. When I have Jar Jar activate his Supa-Cool ability on a character, then quickly switch to an active character and press “A” while they are close to the Stone Monument, I get stunned after pressing “A”. Does this mean that I can’t make up for using Supa-Cool?

No, it means that you should immediately use this ability again on a different character (especially if there is none in sight). There is a trick involved here, so please read all of the following tips carefully. Have Jar Jar activate his Supa-Cool ability on one character. Quickly switch to another character, and press “A” when they are close to the Stone Monument. Use this ability again on a different character. Then, press “A” when there is a nearby character with relatively high health (like Mace Windu), and switch to Darth Sidious or General Grievous to finish them off (this will kill your active character). When another enemy comes near you, use Jar Jar’s Supa-Cool ability on him again. Do this as often as possible until you can get the “Keep Him Alive” achievement later on in the game.

Once you have unlocked the achievements, you might also want to use Jedi Jar Jar Binks’ abilities for faster kills. For example: When in a duel with Count Dooku, Jar Jar activates his Supa-Cool ability and sticks it on Dooku, then presses “A” when the icon appears above Dooku’s head.

In “Jedi”, why is the game not allowing me to switch to Jar Jar at all?

This complaint happens when you are on the very first mission of “Jedi”, where you have to find a mysterious droid that is causing problems. You will notice a barrier surrounding the droid, and your character will be looking at it and not moving.

Some of you may have noticed that Jar Jar’s ability sounds like “paddling pool”. So why is his ability called Supa-Cool in the game?

It may have been named after one of the developers, who is also a Jabba fan. If you find any other possible reasons or explanations for this, post them in our comments section.
