Joshua Jackson is set to star in a new TV series based on the movie Fatal Attraction. The Paramount Television production will be written by James DeMonaco, who also wrote the screenplay for the original movie. Jackson will play Alex Forrest, a successful lawyer whose life begins to unravel when she realizes she has been emotionally and physically abused by her husband. Her only support system is her best friend, who also happens to be a foster sister to the child she gave up for adoption at birth.
The project is described as being in the vein of Lifetime’s UnReal, where the women behind a cable news station are portrayed as self-deceptive, manipulative and conniving.
