The long-awaited sequel to the King of Boys, “King of Boys 2,” is set to release on AUGUST 27TH, 2021. The film will be directed by Vinnie Lawrence and written by James Lawrence, who also wrote the original movie. It will star a more diverse cast, with 5 new characters being introduced into the series. Produced in China for 25 million dollars, this film has received mixed reviews from critics but is expected to make big waves in the world market.
ABOUT KING OF BOYS 2:
King of Boys is a series about the power struggles and friendships between four boys in high school. The original film was released on May 16th, 2018, to critical acclaim. It was produced by Vinnie Lawrence and written by James Lawrence, with cinematography done by Milo Morgan. “King of Boys” stars an all-white cast but will be receiving a sequel with an entirely new cast and Chinese director.

THE PLOT:
This project is about a group of young boys, led by the protagonist (not revealed yet), who are trying to find their feet as they struggle with growing up in China. In this sequel to KING OF BOYS, we follow five school-aged children and how they deal with being students at an international boarding school outside of Shanghai, China. The main character of this story is the protagonist, who has to deal with bullying and abandonment issues as he struggles through adolescence in a new country without his father.
The second installment starts right where King of Boys left off – months after graduation day. The four boys have gone their separate ways. The sequel follows the story of Tony, a pro basketball player, and his father, who are on their way to the NBA.
