Replacing Tom Cullen as Master-at-arms who is Landry, we will see Simon Merrells take on the role of a Templar Knight and veteran Crusader Ser Hovard de Peyrer who was rescued from slavery by The Knights Templar and has now risen to become one of their most trusted knights. He leads with the strength of character and a steely sense of duty.

The Plot:

Knightfall season two ended with Landry’s plot to escape from the clutches of his Templar brothers and return home. As he was being held prisoner at a workshop in Paris, Landry managed to free himself but only after putting one of his captors out for good. Although it appeared as though he had succeeded in escaping before more Templars arrived, he was soon surrounded by the King’s guards.

Knightfall’s plot for season three will be driven by Landry’s plot to escape from prison and flee France with Lady Isabelle who is pregnant after their illicit relationship came to fruition in the last episode of Knightfall season two finale.

Reviews:

The second season of Knightfall has received mixed reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the second season holds a “Rotten” rating of 61%, based on twelve reviews with an average score of /103. The site’s consensus reads, “Knightfall season two adds more plot complications after last year’s stirring battle between Templar knights and oppressive rulers.”
