Riley is a shy, young woman who has led an extremely sheltered life. She was born with cerebral palsy and uses crutches to walk-her overprotective father never let her leave home until one day he dies suddenly, leaving Riley completely alone in the world except for her devoted maid Maria (Maria Bamford). So when Riley accidentally meets her new next-door neighbor, Jake (John Early), who is unlike any boy she’s ever met before, everything changes.
With time, Riley starts to come out of her shell and learns what it means to live life for herself with the help of Maria and Jake. But as this innocent gives way to a more confident woman and the demands of high school increase, Riley starts to realize that she’s not as invincible as she thought. “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” is a Netflix original film about the life-changing impact one girl can have on her family and friends. The movie tells the story of 16-year-old Lara Jean Covey, whose love life goes from “zero to 60” when she returns home one day and finds all her exes in a row-like outcome back to haunt her at school.
