Years later, Austen tells how Ms. Elliot has fallen deeply in love again, but this time she persuades herself not to marry him because he already has a persuasion wife.

Plot Summary of “Persuasion”
Anne Elliot (Lily James) is a young woman who has persuaded herself not to marry the love of her life because he already has a wife. She persuades herself that it would be better for happiness if she convinced him to persuade an annulment so they could get married, but after tries and fails, Anne convinces herself again with help from Lady Russell (Emma Thompson), family friend Sir Walter “Wattie” Elliot (Dominic Cooper) and his wife Lady Elliot (Gemma Jones) that he would be better off with her best friend, Mary.

Netflix released first-look pics of the cast only a few weeks into production. So it’s possible that Netflix is eyeing a late 2021 release date think Christmas or New Year’s but it’s more likely we’ll see it in 2022.
