Production of Mission Impossible 7 Shut Down After Positive Covid Cases

Hollywood, CA – production of mission impossible 7 shut down after positive covid cases. the film was scheduled to start filming in July but will now not be filmed until they can find a way to protect all crew members from the disease.

What’s the reason behind shutting down the filming?

Mission impossible is an American action spy series starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt – it has been running since 1996 and its latest film, Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation grossed over $700 million at the box office on release last year. The production company Paramount had shut down filming after several cast members were diagnosed with Coxiella burnetii infection (positive covid cases). Production for the new movie, which had planned to use some exterior shots around London’s Canary Wharf financial district for scenes set there during daylight hours, have also halted while the cast is tested.

The last time a similar thing happened was when the production of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part I halted after Jennifer Lawrence’s Coxiella burnetii infection diagnosis in 2014, which caused her to miss promotional events for the film and delayed filming by one week.

It has been reported that other stars from Mission Impossible had contracted positive covid cases – with at least two others being diagnosed since the shooting began on May 27th (Jennifer Lawerence who shot some scenes while sick). A doctor working with the crew said he believes it is likely that there will be more cases as they continue to work on set without proper protection measures.

Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures has yet to comment on the reports that other stars have contracted covids, but a representative for Cruise told TMZ in an email: “Tom does not get sick.”

The film’s director Christopher McQuarrie said it was unclear how many actors had been affected by Covid and filming would be suspended until further notice.

Production is reported to resume at some point following proper safety measures being put into place – with rewrites or changes possible as well if necessary. However, production will continue despite these setbacks due to Mission Impossible costing approximately USD 150 million (as opposed to more than 250 million USD) which can easily cover these losses.

Regardless of all this though, the film’s shutdown has had a major impact on Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions.

Production of Mission Impossible: Fallout shut down after Covid-positive cases were reported, but Tom Cruise is not sick with it. The filmmaker said in an email to TMZ that he doesn’t get sick and also stated that it was unclear how many actors have been affected by Covid.

When will they start filming again?

The production team will suspend filming until safety measures are put into place as well as change or rewrite scenes if required. Despite these setbacks, Christopher McQuarrie believes they can easily cover any losses due to this action being more cost-effective than the previous two films (which both cost over USD 250 million). Production will continue despite all this, but it will be done with more caution.

The Covid virus is a rare condition that can cause immune deficiency and brain damage, the symptoms are flu-like (e.g. fever, aches, and pains) followed by neurological complications such as paralysis and difficulty in breathing — to date, there is no vaccine for this illness or cure available. The first reported case of Covid was found in 2001 when a man from Saudi Arabia died after contracting the disease while on Hajj pilgrimage because he had been infected by someone else who helped him give blood donations during Ramadan just before his death.
