The show is based on Matt Beaudouin’s experiences as a professional “rent a girlfriend” for clients who want to hire someone attractive and single for their special events, dates, or just companionship in general.
He also serves as the lead writer of season one, which was created by himself and Dennis Gaffney. The show follows three friends as they navigate what it really means to be an ambitious woman in today’s world. For instance, you’ll see Benji face his fear of commitment while managing the demands of his new job.

The Plot:
The two most common requests were to meet girls or go on dates to break up with them later, but there are many other situations where having an attractive woman by your side can be beneficial. In the first episode, Benji meets a new love interest, and their worlds collide. Natalie discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her. She doesn’t want to be alone, so she asks Benji for help, and he agrees without a second thought. Is it too late?
The season finale will be full of drama as their relationship finally reaches its peak. Will this be the end or a new beginning? You’ll have to watch to find out. Plot Synopsis:
Season two of the series will find familiar characters Benji (Beaudouin) and Natalie (Natalie Morales) back in the dating game and navigating love, friendship, family relationships, and career ambitions.
Benji is an LA actor and struggling, a single man. He has been dating Natalie for three years but can’t help feeling like he’s missing something in his life. Lately, they’ve started to grow apart as work commitments get in the way, and they can’t seem to find time for each other.

Season One was filmed from March 11th until April 22nd, 2017, on location at Benji’s apartment in Manhattan with production assistance by Mike D’Auria, who is the executive producer of HBO’s Silicon Valley.
