Season six of the Adult Swim animated show “Rick and Morty” will come again, and it’s time to talk about what we know. ABOUT RICK AND MORTY SEASON 6:
Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block, Adult Swim. The series follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his fretful, easily influenced grandson Morty Smith; they explore the infinite universes across their universe in search of learning experiences.
RELEASE DATE:
The release date has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be near fall next year in 2022. The show is currently being filmed in Los Angeles, California.
THE STARRING CAST:
- Season six will be starring the popular voice actors of Justin Roiland as Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith,
- Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith (Morty’s father) and
- Sarah Chalke is in a recurring role.
THE PLOT:
So far, we know that Rick and Morty Season 6 will be divided into four parts, with each part consisting of seven episodes. The first episode in this season is titled “The Rickshank Redemption”. There are some rumors about what could happen to our favorite characters but so far it seems like it will be a rip-roaring good time.
According to the showrunners, there will be some tension between Rick and Morty because of Jerry’s divorce from Beth Smith. There is also going to be a lot of exploring other universes that they never got around to in previous seasons. Some fans are speculating about a possible romance between Rick and Jessica, Morty’s mom. A lot of this is still speculation but it certainly makes for interesting reading.
EXPECTATIONS:
Rick and Morty is one of the best-animated shows to ever grace television screens. If history tells us anything about this show, then we can expect that the next season will be no different. The writing is hilarious, the humor on point – even if it’s dark at times – and the characters are relatable in their own bizarre ways.
RATINGS:
In the Season Five finale, Morty and his family are sent to a Mad Max-style reality. This is quite cutting edge for such an animated comedy show, so it’s no surprise that people can’t wait to see what happens next in this new post-apocalyptic world they’ve found themselves living in.
