There have always been couch potatoes who spend much of their free time binge watching their favorite television shows over and over again on Netflix. And, why not? They are included with the subscription, and you can watch them over and over again as the mood strikes you, or at least until Netflix removes them to make room for other shows. If you’ve run out of tv shows to binge on, here are a few of the all-time best tv shows on Netflix but if they’ve been supplanted with other shows, not to worry. They’ll be back in due time!
1. The Queen’s Gambit
This is an interesting limited series on several levels. While it’s based on a real girl who was raised in an orphanage in the 1950s, the actual plot is fictional. It’s all about an orphan girl who had an uncanny ability to play chess and won tournament after tournament. However, because the screenplay attributed a line to her that she never said, the now 80-year-old Nona Gaprindashvili filed a lawsuit against Netflix. In today’s world, people watch chess tournaments online and play online casinos after checking out Gamble Online. While Nona did make history as the first female chess pro, her journey is making history in the courts as well.
2. Anything Marvel
It would be difficult to name just one tv series from Marvel that is among the most popular because they all are! After all, who doesn’t need a superhero in their life? If you are looking for a superhero series to keep you glued to your seat, check out these on Netflix:
- Jessica Jones
- Iron Fist
- Luke Cage
- The Punisher
- Guardians of the Galaxy
Some of the superhero series are only a single season while others run for two or more, and some began with a feature length movie. If you are a Marvel fan, this is where you’ll find the best of the best that Marvel has to offer.
3. Better Call Saul
Oddly, Better Call Saul is a spinoff of Breaking Bad and it actually seems to have a wider audience. As a fast-talking attorney who got drug dealers out of extreme amounts of trouble in Breaking Bad, Saul captivated the audience who followed him to his own series. It’s just one of those shows that got as good, if not better, reviews than the original series that inspired it.
It would be virtually impossible to list all the binge worthy shows on Netflix, but these are examples of various genres for audiences of all ages and from all walks of life. Once you watch one series on Netflix you look for another and another and another. There’s nothing like following your favorite characters show after show, season after season. So, get out the popcorn and get comfortable. Like the old Lay’s commercial that said, “Bet you can’t eat just one” so too are the Netflix tv series. Bet you can’t watch just one!
