Fans of The Wilds rejoice! The second season is premiering on Amazon in May 2022. The cast and crew are already back at work filming the new season, and they promise that it will be even better than the first. If you’re not familiar with The Wilds, it’s a post-apocalyptic drama about a group of survivors who are fighting to stay alive in a world that has been taken over by zombies.

The first season was a huge hit, and the second one is sure to be even better. That’s because the main cast members from the first season have signed on for multiple episodes. That means viewers will get to see more of certain characters and less of others, depending on their screen time in Season One.

Do you know about the release date of The Wilds Series:

This series will be released on 6 May 2022. Also the series has been planned to be more than 10 episodes.  Amazon Prime members can watch The Wilds Series beginning on Thursday, May 6, instantly. The Wilds Season 2 will have 10 episodes in total, but the first season has just 8.

What inspired you to write The Wilds Series?

The series is inspired by the novel of Noah Hawley (same name as the director of the series) There was never a particular idea that drove me to write this story. I just wanted to try my hand at a new genre and style of writing.  This is not quite as dark and depressing as my other work, but it still has some of those elements that people who have read my works before expect from me. In addition, there’s also been a lot of speculation about what would happen after an apocalyptic event like this took place.

What was your process for writing the books, and how long did it take you to complete?

I would say about 6-8 months of work on the books. It does feel like a lot longer.  I do find it hard to write long pieces, especially long series. It was definitely a challenge that I am glad to have taken on.

I don’t know if my writing style is “different” when writing my novels – in fact I tend not to think about it much – but I do know that what influences me is how well the work is received by people who read it, and how they react to certain works or elements of the story itself.

Who are some of your favorite authors and why do you enjoy their work so much?

I am a big fan of the works of Noah Hawley, especially The Leftovers. I also enjoy the work of J.K Rowling and Stephen King. I have been drawn to writing for my own enjoyment both in TV and novels, but I do find that when I do end up writing for a specific market (be it movie or TV), I tend to grow very comfortable in that format as well, which is something that keeps me from sticking to just one genre or style.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers out there who are looking to make a name?

I have a few bits of advice for people who are looking to start, but in all honesty I don’t think it’s so much about the “writing” side of things as it is about “marketing”. I think that it is important for someone who wants to write for a specific market or audience (such as a book, TV series, movie or whatever) to try and get their work out there and into the hands of as many people as they can. I say this because I have certainly been guilty of throwing in the towel on projects early on without any sort of internet presence at all.

Are you currently working on any new projects that we can look forward to?

I am working on the sequel to The Wilds Series. I’ve been working on it for about a year and a half now, so I would say that it is in its very early stages of development. I am still trying to figure out what elements of the story will be used for the sequel, but I’d say that you can probably expect some big surprises as we get closer and closer to that movie’s release date.
