There are two main storylines that will be explored in this season. One is the aftermath of Dolores shooting Ford and how she plans to fight back against her creators. The other storyline deals with Bernard Lowe as he tries to figure out what has happened since his last memories from being shot by Dolores in the finale of Season 2.

A common criticism of the first season was that it felt too much like a paint-by-number variation on Jurassic Park. Still, as far as reboots go, Westworld actually does offer something new to viewers in its exploration of what happens when we use and abuse technology without regard for human consequences or limitations. A scene from the premiere episode showed Bernard in a lab where Delos is mass-producing hosts. Bernard, it turns out, was a host himself who had been manufactured by the company.

RATINGS:

The show has received positive reviews from critics. The first two seasons of the series have a score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes and 78 out of 100 on Metacritic. Season one had an average rating of 73%, season two had an average rating of 88%, and season three had a mixed response with an average rating of 68%.
