Synopsis of episode 5
Janet van Dyne infects Hank Pym with a quantum virus in the Quantum Realm. A zombie apocalypse occurs when they return to Earth. A group of survivors-Bruce Banner, Hope van Dyne, Peter Parker, Bucky Barnes, Okoye, Sharon Carter, Happy Hogan, and Kurt-discovers there is a potential cure for the disease at Camp Lehigh two weeks later. During their journey there, they lose Hogan, Carter, and Hope to zombie attacks.
The Mind Stone can reverse the virus, as shown in Scott Lang’s head that is kept alive in a jar with a cured Scott Lang’s head. However, Wanda Maximoff is immune to the cure, and Vision feeds her pieces of T’Challa. Kurt, Okoye, and Barnes are killed by Maximoff after he breaks free from prison. Vision, unable to live without Maximoff, commits suicide so that Parker can have the Mind Stone.
As a result of Banner’s transformation into the Hulk, Maximoff is eliminated, allowing the others to escape. As a means of broadcasting the Mind Stone’s power throughout the world, Parker, Lang, and T’Challa travel to Wakanda. An almost-complete Infinity Gauntlet lies in the hands of a zombified Thanos.
