ABOUT WAKFU 4:
Wakfu is a strategic turn-based MMORPG that takes place in the beautiful and expansive world of Amakna. It puts you in control of an awakened young hero, who must save their family from evil forces by rebuilding their village while exploring the surrounding land to find helpful allies.
Along your journey, you will be able to collect and summon the adorable creatures called “Dofus” who will help you during your battles. The development of Wakfu has been a long and winding journey. The original series, created by Ankama Games in the early 2000s, was one of France’s first big hits on Youtube with over 500 million views to date.
RELEASE DATE:
WAKFU SEASON 4 is expected to release by late 2021 or early 2022. however, there is no official news regarding its release.
THE STARRING CAST: NEW AND RETURNING MEMBERS:
- If you’re worried that the voice actors for your favorite characters will change, rest assured that they are all returning.
- The voice of OROPO (which is not Maurice) will be played by a new actor!
- The animated series has always been praised for its expressive and well-written dialogue so we can expect to hear more of our favorite lines once again in Season Four.
WAKFU SEASON 4 PLOT:
It’s been about a year since we last saw Yugo and his friends, but all that changes when they get caught up in an unexpected adventure! When exploring some ancient ruins with his sister Nox, Yugo is led to a hidden chamber where he unwittingly awakens an ancient evil.
But this threat isn’t the only thing that’s about to get them: As if on cue, their village comes under attack by hordes of vile creatures! Their path uncertain and danger lurking in every shadow, they’ll need all their strength and courage just to survive.
This season, Yugo and his friends will need to explore new environments like the jungle city of Lumenville as they work their way through this epic adventure! They’ll also be joined by some familiar faces who are eager to get back in action namely Oropo, Maurice, Anna-Mia, and Zora. And of course.
The plot for Season Four is shrouded in mystery, but we can expect to see some of our favorite characters returning along with a new set of heroes. Players will be able to take on the role of Tofu (the first character you create when playing Wakfu) and explore more about his backstory as well as play as other characters.
PRODUCTION:
In 2011 it returned as a full-blown TV series, with a new look and voice actors. The success of the reboot led to multiple spinoffs including an animated feature film in 2013. The production time on season four was short – just two years spent working from 2016-2018! That’s due to some behind-the-scenes changes during which Ankama Games was acquired by Wanda, a Chinese conglomerate.
EXPECTATIONS:
As for what’s in store with Season Four? It will keep fans on their toes as Yugo and his friends face an all-new type of danger! Viewers are sure to be delighted by the show’s trademark sense of humor, as well.
