Alex Rider is a British spy thriller streaming television program based on the novel series of the same name by Anthony Horowitz. Adapted by Guy Burt, it stars Otto Farrant as the eponymous character, who is recruited by a subdivision of MI6 as a teenage spy to infiltrate places that others are unable to. The show is jointly produced by Eleventh Hour Films and Sony Pictures Television, and is the second screen adaptation of the novels, following the 2006 feature film version of the first novel Stormbreaker.
The announcement was made earlier this year in May at a press conference attended by both Horowitz and producer Barbara Broccoli (daughter of James Bond creator Albert R ‘Cubby’ Broccoli). Filming has already begun on a total of ten episodes, which will be a mixture of both new and old adventures for the iconic spy.
Synopsis of “Alex Rider Season 2”
The second season will adopt the novel Eagle Strike. It’s the fourth book in the series and a direct sequel to the third novel, Snakehead.
In Eagle Strike, Alex is reunited with a good friend from his past and will be plunged into a dangerous world of drugs and crime in Miami; a story which was originally intended for the second book in Horowitz’s series but never made it because he didn’t think a 13-year-old could handle a drug cartel.
In a statement, Horowitz said: “The thought of continuing to tell Alex’s story on television is a really exciting prospect for me.”
“I am looking forward immensely to working with the whole team again and joining up with them all in South Africa next summer,” he added. “And I can’t wait to see a new generation of fans following Alex’s adventures on TV.”

Release Date of “Alex Rider Season 2”
There has been no official announcement of the release of the second season. The filming for the second season started in February 2021. There is a chance it can arrive in late 2021 or early 2022.
