The Super Mario Bros. Movie is an upcoming computer-animated adventure comedy film based on the franchise of the same name by Nintendo. The film is the third feature-length adaptation of Super Mario Bros. The first 1986 Japanese anime film is Super Mario Bros. The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach, in which Mari and several other citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom attempt to rescue Princess Toadstool from Bowser. the second American film of 1993 was Super Mario Bros. The Movie, a parody of live-action films and superhero movies featuring Mario, Luigi, and Princess Toadstool in their superhero personas.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is scheduled to be released theatrically in the United States by Universal Pictures on April 7, 2023, followed by Japan on April 28, in both regular formats and IMAX 2D and 3D. The film was previously scheduled to release on December 21, 2022, but was moved to its current date alongside DreamWorks Animation’s Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
The film begins at the end of the video game Super Mario Bros. When Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach, Mario and Luigi set out to rescue her with the help of their friends. As soon as they arrive, Toad and Princess Peach join them to defeat the Koopalings and their henchmen, who are working for Bowser. After the battle, Bowser is defeated by his son Wario, who fulfills Shrek’s wish by making himself ruler of the Swamp Kingdom.
The audience can expect the film to release soon and it looks like a lot of people are excited about the film. With this being a collaboration between Illumination and Nintendo, we can expect the animation to be great and definitely feature memorable characters.
