The Andor series of Star Wars novels were a group of six science fiction novels published in the 1990s written by Kevin J. Anderson and Kathy Tyers. They are set about 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, and follow a group of Royal Guardsmen stationed on Andor as they fight to fend off an invasion. The series was noted for its high level of characterization, attention to detail, and use of both political intrigue and science fiction tropes. The naming of the novels after various alcoholic drinks was also remarked upon, with “Tippin” being the only non-alcoholic Andor novel. The series was also noted in the Lucasfilm press kit as an early prime example of what would later become known as “Expanded Universe” or “fan fiction” publishing.
Dark Horse Comics produced a series of four comic adaptations drawn by Carlo Barberi, with text and illustrations by Kevin J. Anderson, which adapted the Andor stories into comic form. The comics featured an in-universe explanation that they were not official adaptations; rather they were graphic novels made to commemorate the authors’ work on the Andor series.
This series will be released on 21 September 2022. Also, the series has been taken from The New Jedi Order book series. It is a six-part series. It was written by Kevin J. Anderson and Kathy Tyers. The novel will be available in paperback format.
The plot of the series takes place after the fall of the Galactic Republic. The majority of the action in the series takes place on the planet Andor and its moon Apatros. The series focuses on Captain Nelani Dinn, a fictional character who is a Royal Guard stationed at Andor’s surface and its moon Apatros. Dinn fights in a war against an Empire which is led by a woman named Syal Antilles / Syal Minax or as she is better known, Lord Ranna.
We can expect a lot of things as in the Star Wars series. It has been like war, honor, and for the survival of the galaxy. Andor is a beautiful planet with its moon Andor. So the series is about that kind of war. We can expect from this series that all people will be saved from chaos and peace will return to all living beings.
