Marvel has released a new trailer, “Ant-Man, and the Wasp: Quantumania”. It is one of their longest trailers so far and it was finally released after months of waiting. . The movie that’s set after “Avengers: Infinity War” will come out in July 2018. Quantum mechanics are now at the very heart of Marvel’s cinematic universe and Ant-Man in particular is a character who uses its rules to his advantage. This movie is the third installment of Ant-man and the 31st movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  This movie is very important to the MCU’s movie “Avenger – Kang Dynasty”. We notice that “Ant-Man” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp” are action comedy movies. But this movie is a bit different because if we believe rumors then in this movie either Paul Rudd’s Character dies or Michael Douglas’s character dies

In this movie, we see the first time inside the Quantum Realm. Cassie Lang creates the device to send signals to the quantum realm. And Janet Van Dyne is trying to stop them but it’s too late. The device is open and everyone including Scott Lang, and Dr. Hank Pym pulls away into the quantum realm, where Janet tells them that she hiding something from them. In the Quantum Realm, they meet various people and the most important person they meet is Kang – The Conquer. This is the first movie where we see Kang. In the Loki series, we see Kang’s alternate version of ‘He Who Remains’.

First Appearance of Ant-Man in comics

It is recognizable in comic books that Ant-Man appeared on his own as a member of the Fantastic Four in the volume “Fantastic Four Vol. 1: The Super-Heroes” #48 (Nov 1967). In short, Ant-Man helped the Fantastic Four battle, Dr. Doom, in his citadel but it’s unclear where he went after that. In the comics, Ant-Man is in a team called the Defenders.

There is also a team with the same name in Marvel comics. But they never created any character with that name. The Defenders was a superhero group that was founded by Doctor Strange, Namor (The Sub-Mariner), and The Hulk. The group was then joined by Valkyrie, Nighthawk, Hellcat, and Gargoyle. This is a sort of “Avengers” or “Justice League”. But in this team, there were two or more members, who we see in the MCU. This team was founded by Dr. Strange and Namor. But currently, the Defenders don’t exist; they are inactive but not extinct.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Avenger-Kang Dynasty”

It’s spectacular that Kang was inside the Quantum realm for years and waited for He Who Remains’ death. and now he wants Ant-Man to go to the real world to conquer that. Kang is a futuristic person. The Suit he wears can control, slow, and even stop time. In comics, Kang is from the Reed Richard bloodline. And can create a time machine and go to the past and future.

Reactions to the Trailer

According to IGN, –  “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”  looks like a different superhero movie than Avengers: Infinity War. That’s good because it didn’t need to be as dark as it turned out. The trailer’s humor is back – hopefully, there are more emotional moments to go with that, too.
