AQUAMAN 2 is the sequel to AQUAMAN, a DC Comics superhero film. The movie will follow Arthur Curry as he tries to prevent an invasion of Atlantean forces and save the world from chaos. Jason Momoa reprises his role as Aquaman, while Amber Heard returns as Mera. Writer David Leslie Johnson has been attached to write the screenplay for this project since 2017, but other details are still unknown.

ABOUT AQUAMAN 2:

Aquaman is a superhero in the DC Comics Universe. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, he first appeared in More Fun Comics (November 1941). The son of Atlanna and Tom Curry, Arthur Curry was born with the powers to control marine life and an array of other abilities stemming from his hybrid heritage.

Aquaman has been adapted various times, including as a Saturday morning cartoon show which ran from 1967 to 1970. He was portrayed by Roddy McDowall for this program and voiced in the first season only.

CHARACTERS:

The character’s live-action debut came in Super Friends (1973), with his animated series debut coming later that same year in The Aquaman Comedy/Adventure Show. This show also featured Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman in solo stories that were joined together as a full-length adventure when the three met at regular intervals for joint adventures. From 1970 to 1972, he appeared on an animated series entitled The New Adventures of Aquaman (with his name changed to simply “Aquaman”).

THE PLOT:

The film’s main story will likely be the same as it was. In this version, Aquaman is Arthur Curry, a half-Atlantean and half-human who has been accepted into Atlantis since he could breathe underwater at birth. He eventually makes it to the surface world but is constantly having to save both worlds from a variety of threats.

The PLOT of AQUAMAN is still unknown, but the sequel will likely continue Arthur Curry’s story and explore his abilities as a superhero. It may also follow him on new adventures in Atlantis or other DC Comics characters like Wonder Woman. An official release date has not yet been announced for AQUAMAN, but filming is expected to begin in 2021.

THE STARRING CAST:

We don’t know who might star in this film yet, but the cast will likely include new and returning actors.

The sequel might not focus on just one of these characters when it comes to its ensemble cast. It could cover several different storylines about Atlantis or with other DC Comics characters like Wonder Woman.

REVIEWS:

AQUAMAN is not a perfect movie, but it’s an enjoyable one that starts the Justice League off on its own path in earnest. It has some flaws and a few too many scenes that are just plain goofy, but it’s also self-aware in its humor and unapologetically entertaining.

AQUAMAN is not for all audiences – there might be some people who don’t enjoy the film’s lighthearted tone or sense of humor. However, if you’re looking for fun family entertainment with a decent story and some impressive action sequences, there’s plenty to enjoy here.
