Better Call Saul Season 6 : Production Details And Arrival Updates

The Better Call Saul season 6 will be premiering in 2022. Better Call Saul is an American television crime drama series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. The Better Call Saul season 1 was aired on AMC in 2015. Better Call Saul is the prequel to Breaking Bad, following the story of small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) who eventually becomes known as James “Jimmy” McGill/Saul Goodman. The show has received largely positive reviews for its acting, writing, directing, and cinematography.

The Better Call Saul season 6: Production status

The series was renewed by AMC in January 2020. It was expected to release in 2021. But, due to the pandemic outbreak, season six may release in the first quarter of 2022. Filming has started in March 2021. Season six is set to have 13 episodes whereas Better Call Saul seasons one-five had ten episodes each. The characters and cast are confirmed.

There were speculations that Better call saul season five finale was not actually the end of the series since creator Vince Gilligan suggested that there could be more after it. However, he also said that they would “have a better sense of how many more stories” if viewers reacted well to Jimmy McGill’s transformation into his Breaking Bad character, criminal lawyer James Morgan ‘Jimmy’ Goodman who goes by the name “Saul Goodman”.

The Better Call Saul season 6: Reasons for delay in release

The series was expected to release in 2021. The pandemic outbreak delayed the production process. Also, on July 27, 2021, Bob Odenkirk, collapsed onset due to a minor heart attack. Now, after recovery, he has joined the crew in early September to resume acting. Since Odenkirk’s absence, the filming has been slow but steady. It will take 8 months to finish production works.
