Better Call Saul Season 6: What You Need To Know About The Sixth Season

“Better Call Saul” is a spin-off of the critically acclaimed show “Breaking Bad.” The original series has been nominated for 36 Emmy Awards and won 16. Now, we are looking forward to season 6!

Season six of “Better Call Saul” continues the story from season five. After the death of Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) brother, Chuck (Michael McKean), he has a new outlook on life and gets his hustle back! The show follows Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) six years before he became Walter White’s lawyer and later a partner in crime.

RELEASE DATE:

The release date for “BETTER CALL SAUL SEASON 6” is expected to be near the first quarter of 2022; however, the official date has not been announced.

PRODUCTION:

Production for “BETTER CALL SAUL SEASON SIX” commenced on April 16, 2020. The final season will have an increased episode order compared to previous seasons, with a total of 13 episodes being planned.

The cast of this season is as follows:

  • Rhea Seehorn (Kim Wexler)
  • Michael McKean (Chuck McGill)
  • Patrick Fabian (Howard Hamlin)
  • Michael Mando (Nacho Varga, Gus Fring’s henchman)
  • Giancarlo Esposito (Gus Fring, Hector Salamanca – early appearances only)
  • The cast is comprised primarily of the same actors who starred in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, including Cast members like Giancarlo Esposito will not be reprising their role in the show’s final season as Gus Fring because of his passing in September at the age of 73.

RENEWAL STATUS:

The series has been renewed for a sixth season, which will consist of ten episodes. The show’s producers are still in the process of negotiating with AMC and Netflix for a possible seventh season, but as it stands, there is no confirmation on what to expect following this sixth season.

THE PLOT:

The new season’s plot will pick up where Season 5 left off with Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) struggling with his identity following Chuck’s death. He wants to be a good person who can do right by others, but he also knows that being honest could ruin him. His brother, Chuck (Michael McKean), was the one who had supported him in starting his law career, so it is difficult for Jimmy to understand why they were estranged prior to Chuck dying from cancer.

As the new season begins, Kim (Rhea Seehorn) has gone into hiding, and her whereabouts are unknown. Season four ended with a cliffhanger as Flynn (Jeremiah Bitsui) was revealed to be alive. With the FBI and federal prosecutors on his tail, he went out of contact with Kim (Rhea Seehorn).
