The blade franchise is getting a reboot with blade starring Mahershala Ali. The blade reboot will be directed by Bassam Tariq, and Stacy Osei-Kuffour will write the script. All of this after behind-the-scenes drama plagued blade trinity.
The blade was created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan in 1973, first appearing in the pages of The Tomb of Dracula. The blade reboot will star Mahershala Ali as the titular character.

In 1998 blade was made into a movie starring Wesley Snipes as Blade. Blade II came out soon after with this time starring rapper turned actor DMX as blade’s half-brother Deacon Frost aka the vampire lord.
Blade III was the final blade movie in this franchise, starring a different blade actor with all sorts of behind-the-scenes drama that plagued them; as well as causing fans to protest and boycott it.
The Blade Reboot is set to star Mahershala Ali as blade himself has found its director! Bassam Tariq-who helmed the upcoming Riz Ahmed film Mogul Mowgli-is currently in talks for taking on The Marvel movie written by Stacy Osei Kuffour who penned Black Panther’s script. If he takes the role then blade reboot will be his first comic book-based superhero character ever played.
