It’s been less than a year since Bridgerton Season 1 aired on the Hallmark Channel, but fans are already eagerly anticipating Bridgerton Season 2. The show was an instant hit, thanks in part to the adorable romance between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Beckett.
The two characters had undeniable chemistry, and viewers were left wanting more when the season ended. Fortunately, more is coming. The Season 1 finale hinted at a blossoming relationship between Anthony and Kate, and their Season 2 romance is sure to be just as incredible as the first one was.

This series will be released on 25 March 2022. Also, the series has been renewed after the first season. In Season 1, Anthony and Kate were briefly engaged. They had to break up due to complications with Kate’s real attraction to Jeremy, who was Kate’s boss at the time. But now in Season 2, their relationship is stronger than ever before.

Anthony Henry Bridgerton is the eldest of the three brothers. He has known his siblings since they were small tots. He has always been a part of their lives and supports them completely in everything they do. Anthony used to be an athlete, but now spends most of his time in the family business and running it.
He’s hot but not dumb at least he doesn’t act like one! He’s always been a little bit on the shy side, which makes him a very interesting character that can be both sweet and romantic at times. Sometimes he can seem very confident about himself, but other times you catch him humbly trying to make up for a lost time.

What inspired you to write the Bridgerton series?
The series is inspired by many different forms of art and literature, with Jane Austen playing a big part. It was her work that first inspired me to look at the male side of love, romance, and marriage in a different light.
The Bridgerton series is about family and love, but it is more than just a plain love story. The Bridgertons quickly became my favorite literary family and I knew I had to create a series around them. It began with “What Happened at Midnight” but soon expanded into five books. I am already working on the third book in the series “An Offer from a Gentleman” now, which will be released this summer.
How did you come up with the characters and their storylines?
The characters and storylines were created with a lot of thought. Primarily, I wanted to create a family that would indeed be the Bridgertons. My mother is from Worcester and I grew up listening to her family stories about their family history. So my research for this work involved looking at their names, where they originated from, what members of the family were famous or part of history, etc.
Who’s your favorite character in The Bridgerton series?
Kate! Kate is my favorite character because she’s always in everything I write and she gets the most love – except maybe Benedict! Oh! And Anthony actually thinks he might like Kate too! But it takes him a while to figure it out.
Do you have any plans to write any more books in the series, or spin-off?
I already have two sequels planned and it will be a while before I get to them. So far I have only written four books, and I am working on volume two of the series. The Bridgerton novels are set in England prior to World War II but there are bits and pieces of my family history that can be found in each story.
Again, this is why it is important for me to study all the background information about my characters as well as their family’s histories because these details help me create a world for them to live in.
Are there any other projects that you’re working on that you can tell us about?
In addition to the Bridgerton series, I am also working on a book called “The Boxer Rebellion” and my own original work titled “The Last Supper”. Other than writing, I spend time with my family, take walks around our neighborhood, go to church, and talk about the books that I’m reading.

What did you learn about yourself from writing the Bridgerton series?
I have learned that there are many things in life that are fundamentally important: family, love, friends, money, and happiness. But sometimes it is difficult to see what or who is truly important because of other aspects of your life. I have learned that I truly have a great deal to live for, and I am thankful for every single person and experience I encounter in my life. Ultimately, the most important thing is to be happy – especially with one’s family.
