The Chicago P.D series has been earning rave reviews since its premiere on NBC in September 2022. This six-episode crime drama series stars Jason Beghe and Jon Seda. It follows the lives of detectives in Chicago’s police department, but it is much more than your typical procedural series. The show follows the lives of two detectives, Gus (Beghe) and Mike (Seda), who are still getting used to their new positions.

The series is very similar to the TV show, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, but with a different theme. Like Law and Order, P.D shows viewers that the police force does not always do the right thing. The show follows corrupt cops who are just as bad as the criminals they are trying to arrest. The series is created by Chicago writer and co-executive producer, Matt Olmstead, who has also worked on the shows like Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago Fire, starring Jesse Spencer. Olmstead has also worked on eight other crime dramas including The Closer which was created by James Duff, who based the show on his experiences with a former San Diego chief of police.
