Dahmer: Psychiatry Professor Claims He Was Not Psychopath

The Dahmer series of films was released in September 2022 and was based on the true story of Jeffrey Dahmer, a known serial killer in the US. The films were intended to inform people about what leads to psychopaths like Dahmer becoming such prolific murderers. However, one psychiatry professor has gone against the films and claimed that he is not a psychopath. Dahmer claims that throughout his childhood, he had quirks — including an affinity for knives and animal bones — which “did not amount to anything” until his twenties when another teenager taught him how to change into animals. As a result of this new power, Dahmer began killing animals which led him down the path of murder. The teenager in question was Nathaniel Branden, who was an early supporter of the Ayn Rand philosophy and wrote a book, ‘The Ethics of Liberty.’ Dahmer claims that, as a child, Branden permitted him to perform various violent acts on animals including killing horses and stabbing rabbits to death. He was also permitted to stab kittens, according to Dahmer.

He also claims that he received a message from Nathaniel Branden on his twenty-first birthday encouraging him to kill people in self-defense. Branden was later executed for his role in a civil war started by an anarchist group called The Resistance.
