DOOM PATROL is a show that follows the adventures of DC’s strangest group of superheroes. The series focuses on a team made up of Robotman (Cliff Steele), Negative Man (Larry Trainor), Elasti-Girl (Rita Farr), and Crazy Jane, who are led by Dr. Niles Caulder, aka The Chief. They come together to investigate paranormal occurrences that require their expertise in order for them to be solved or contained from going public.
RELEASE DATE:
The release date for DOOM PATROL SEASON 3 is set to release on September 23rd, 2021.
PRODUCTION:
The series is going to be produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The showrunner of DOOM PATROL SEASON will be Jeremy Carver, who has also written for SUPERNATURAL, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, GENERATION KILL & more.
FILMING:
The shooting of DOOM PATROL SEASON 3 started in 2020. The series will have 13 episodes like its previous seasons, each episode expected to be 47 minutes long on average which means that there would be a total amount of around 560 minutes or around nine hours of content in Season Three.
RENEWAL STATUS:
DOOM PATROL SEASON was renewed for a third installment back in April 2019, along with other DC UNIVERSE original shows like TITANS and SWAMP THING. There hasn’t been any word on its cancellation yet, which means that it is probably safe to assume that the show will continue for at least another year.
DOOM PATROL SEASON 3 PLOT:
Doom Patrol Season is set to return in 2022 on DC Universe, and a new teaser was released that gives us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming season. The first two seasons followed stories about strange occurrences around the world and their fight against various villains as well as each other. Niles Caulder (The Chief) later found Larry Trainor in the desert, injured after a catastrophic plane crash that wiped out his entire rock band except for him.
He used an experimental machine called the Neurosomatic Metabo-Scrambler to save Trianon’s life. Unfortunately, this machine left Trainor with “black cancer”; his skin and bodily tissues were constantly mutating into different forms of energy at random intervals/volumes. Caulder then turned to the government for help in curing Trainor’s condition; he convinced a senator that his plan was to use Trainor as an electrical insulator.

DOOM PATROL has always been one of the best shows in DC UNIVERSE, and fans are expecting it to be even better than before with this new season. It is going to live up to all our expectations if Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television manage to keep the production values high as they did in Season One and Two of DOOM PATROL.
