DOOM PATROL is an American superhero television series based on the comic book of the same name by Grant Morrison. The show premiered on DC Universe first on February 15, 2019, and has been renewed for a second season before its release date. There are twelve episodes in Season One that will air over six weeks, followed by a break to allow the series to be serialized.
RELEASING DATE:
There has been no official news for the release of the new season of doom patrol, but it is expected to be in late 2022 or early 2023.
THE CHARACTERS:
The three remaining members of Doom Patrol – Elasti-Woman, Robot Man, and Negative Woman – face a new wave of out-of-control supervillains in their former hometown of Caseyville while also attempting to take down Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing. PLASTIC MAN’s exuberant, funny personality will remind viewers of the one and only JACKIE CHAN from his classic film “Rumble In The Bronx.” He’ll be an instant fan favorite in every single episode.
PLASTIC MAN’s character will be a real game-changer in this series with his outrageous fighting skills. It’ll be fascinating to see how PLASTIC MAN works alongside ROBOTMAN and RITA FARR/ELASTIC-GIRL – both of whom are outfitted with special abilities that make them more vulnerable.
THE PLOT:
The PLOT for DOOM PATROL SEASON THREE is one of the strongest aspects that has been praised by critics. It’s a thrilling, pulse-pounding ride from start to finish and will leave viewers on the edge of their seats with anticipation at what might happen next in this sci-fi horror series.
The third season of the series will take place in Caseyville, a small town that had been destroyed by Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing. Elastiwoman is helping to rebuild her hometown with Robot Man and Negative Woman when they’re approached by an unhinged superbill. PLASTIC MAN is the son of PLAS’TS (who was created by Mister Nobody) and has had a troubled life. He’s been framed for crimes, lost his girlfriend to suicide, and drinks too much.

- There’s BERETTA RAMON as Rita Farr/Elasti-Girl, MARTIN STEVENS in the role of Cliff Steele/Robotman, and DANNY TREJO as Niles Caulder, aka The Chief.

PRODUCTION:
The series was created by Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Akiva Goldsman with a pilot written by Andrew Kreisberg. It was directed by Marc Webb. Principal photography began in Toronto on August 27, 2018, for six months of filming that included extensive use of green screen technology to create virtual sets.
EXPECTATIONS:
The first episode received a positive response from critics. It has been nominated for the best drama series at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards and won Best New TV Drama Series at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 22, 2018.
