The plot of Dungeons & Dragons will be centered around a young man named Lon, who is played by Chris Pine. The story will kick off during the late Middle Ages. Lon is traveling with his friend Marcus (Regé-Jean Page), and they are seeking to find a mysterious city called Stonewood.
Along the way, they come upon an old man known as “Old Man Willow” (Michael Ironside). He asks them if they would like to help defend his magical forest. After agreeing, Old Man Willow gives them their first lesson in magic. Are there any scenes or plot points that have surprised you since watching the show?
I do not know where I was going, but I liked how Dungeons & Dragons play with its own lore. Previously, the characters were fighting orcs and goblins as they traveled through the forest. But in Dungeons & Dragons, Lon and his friends are asked to fight a dragon with their wooden pipes. The fight comes as a surprise for Lon, who does not expect to find a way to defeat a beast like that.
Another thing I thought was cool is the language used in this series. Dungeons & Dragons are full of curses and bad words, which made me feel more immersed in the story. When watching Dungeons & Dragons, it’s pretty clear that the actors are very passionate about their characters. It’s good to see that being shown by both the script and the actors themselves.
