Elemental is an upcoming animated fantasy film produced by Walt Disney & Pixar Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is set in the Aesir Kingdom and tells the story of a teenage Viking boy named Magnus who discovers he is a prince with special powers. When his secret gets out, he and his family are tasked with figuring out how to save the kingdom from an impending doom that could destroy both worlds. When I first heard about Elemental I was very excited because it’s directed by Joe Letteri and Pete Docter, who’s been involved in several hit projects including WALL-E, Inside Out, Up, and Toy Story 3. The story sounds cool too because it blends elements of Norse mythology with fantasy and technology, which is something I haven’t seen before. The movie won’t be out for about another 3 years, but the animation looks awesome. It’s very dark and mature compared to your average Disney film, but it still has all of its trademark humor, romance, and action that make its films entertaining.

For over ten thousand years deep within the realm of the Aesir, a mystical kingdom hidden in the sky ruled by the great King Odin, magic flowed like water through Aesir’s veins. Every man, woman, and child was born with a power of an elemental; fire, water, or earth.

What can we expect from the Elemental?
We can expect some action, drama, and a lot of humor. The movie will also feature some good romance as well as some scenes of real pain. The audience will be thrilled by the newness of the story. The movie’s animation will also be very different from what we have been used to seeing and that is going to be a nice change.
Who are the director’s favorite characters and why?
The favorite characters of Director Joe Letteri are Ymir, the big Viking, and Mimir, the little boy wizard. He says that he loves them because they have a very complementary relationship. Ymir, who is a very loud person, is quite often open about what he thinks but what he does not like is the fact that people always think negatively about him. Whereas Mimir thinks positively even if people are negative about him.
What themes does the Elemental explore?
The themes that the Elemental explores are about forgiveness, dealing with failure, and the relationship between the father and his son. The movie is essentially about how to overcome obstacles in life and still be successful. The movie is a combination of two big topics, Norse mythology, and technology. It will give a fresher feel to both of these cultures. The show will also have a mix of family-friendly and good-for-a-movie extras that the audience can look forward to watching.
What do the reviewers think of Elemental?
The reviewers expect that the movie will support the industry as well as give originality by bringing about both elements of magic and technology. The movie is expected to be a blockbuster and this is mostly because many people have already seen the animation work being done by Pixar.
To keep the hype going the creators have now released a trailer for Elemental. It’s quite different in terms of tone but it still shows that it’s going to be awesome. This movie will bring us a new type of story not seen before but which I believe will surprise viewers as well as be very entertaining in its way. It even sounds like it’s going to be more realistic than we usually get from animated movies.
