Everything that the third season of “The Sex Lives of College Girls” needs to fix

It’s a relief to hear that “The Sex Lives of College Girls” will return for a third season on HBO Max after season 2. In its finale episode, “The Rooming Lottery,” the quick-witted comedy leaves the characters and the spectator with more questions than answers. “The Sex Lives of College Girls” does not hold back on the dramatic turns, whether it is regarding Kimberly’s relationship situation or Bela’s future at Essex College.

“The Sex Lives of College Girls” provides logical conclusions to season-long stories even though some of the storylines for Season 3 are meant to finish on cliffhangers. Despite having only 10 episodes, the season manages to weave interesting storylines that produce unified tales that are representative of college life, both intellectually and romantically. Whitney discovers and develops an unexpected passion away from the soccer field, while Leighton has an unusual introspective experience. By the end of the season, Essex College has established itself as a place where the characters can discover who they are.

What happened in “The Sex Lives of College Girls” season 2?

Due to Kimberly’s test-taking fraud, she has forfeited her scholarship. Kimberly, who is by far the most fortunate of the group, now has to find a way to raise thousands of dollars to pay for her tuition. After finally coming out, Leighton needs to catch up with her straight friends’ steamy antics. The end of football has left Whitney trying to find “her thing” in life, which makes her feel inadequate and adrift. Bela left The Catallun after being sexually attacked by an editor, and she is currently working to establish a female-only rival publication.

Things need to fix in “The Sex Lives of College Girls” season 3

Bela must have a retrieval story – Eric and Bela started dating in the second season’s opening episode. After Bela saw Eric with another female, she realized she liked him, and they soon started dating exclusively. Bela cheated on him, but Eric also used the chance to pitch himself for the internship. Bela sought Eric for forgiveness because she felt terrible after he found out and broke up with her, but he refused.

Whitney and Kimberly must rebuild their relationship – For their friendship to be restored, Kimberly needs to be honest with Whitney and ask for her forgiveness. Lila responded to Kimberly’s question about what to do by stating that she understood why Canaan appealed to her, but that doing so would damage her connection with Whitney. Kimberly nevertheless gave him a kiss. Kimberly needs to win back Whitney’s friendship and trust in season three of “The Sex Lives of College Girls”. Extras of Sex Lives of College Girls should give more screen time – Season 3 of “The Sex Lives of College Girls” must continue the expansion of some series extras which are introduced in season 2. The girls may wind up knowing Eric and Canaan for a while, either as friends or more, so they should get more screen time in the upcoming season.
