The Work-in-Progress season 2 is finally here and we are all excited to see what’s in store for Abby McEnany and her workmates. The show, which was created by Abby McEnany, Tim Mason, Lilly Wachowski, and Karin Anglin alongside executive producer Celeste Pechous has been a hit among viewers since it premiered on December 8th, 2019.

Synopsis of “Work-in-Progress Season 2”

A self-identified “fat, queer dyke” enters into a transformative relationship during a time of crisis. Through the work of her therapist, she begins to explore why her body is so important in this relationship and how it’s related to self-worth. In season two Kara will work on a project with an elusive billionaire named Maxwell who has a lot of secrets that he doesn’t want anyone else to know about.

After trying his best at keeping Kara out of the loop for most conversations, Max eventually opens up more about what makes him tick and starts showing some genuine interest in Kara as well! As they work together on their joint project there are challenges ahead but also potential for growth if they can learn from each other.

Cast Details of “Work-in-Progress Season 2”

• Abby McEnany as Abby, a 45-year-old self-identifying “fat, queer dyke” who lives with depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
• Karin Anglin as Alison, Abby’s sister.
• Celeste Pechous as Campbell, Abby’s friend.
• Julia Sweeney as a fictionalized version of herself. A recurring plot point is a discomfort Julia’s Saturday Night Live character Pat has caused Abby, for which Julia attempts to make amends.
• Theo Germaine as Chris, a 22-year-old barista who enters a relationship with Abby. Chris is a trans man.

Release Date of “Work-in-Progress Season 2”

On January 13, 2020, Showtime renewed the series for a 10-episode second season, to be filmed in Chicago later in the year. The second season is set to premiere on August 22, 2021.
