The movie will debut in theatres on July 21, 2023, and will concentrate on many incarnations of the legendary Barbie and Ken dolls from Mattel. Along with an ensemble cast that includes Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, and Kate McKinnon, it was also directed by Greta Gerwig.

The 2020 music video for Lady Gaga’s single, “Stupid Love,” depicts several Power Ranger-like groups wearing matching vibrant colors and coming together via dance. Fans online quickly discovered that numerous important parts from this sequence are remarkably similar to those in that song’s music video. Numerous people have pointed out the parallels between the trailer and the video throughout the previous day.

Who are Ken and Barbie?

The fashion doll “Barbie” is created by the American toy industry behemoth Mattel. One of the most popular toys ever, it has now grown into a media empire with novels, movies, apps, and even video games. In addition to being a plastic-moulded doll, “Barbie” has come to symbolise the ideal woman, and because of her enduring appeal, Mattel has produced dolls like Midge, Skipper, and Stacie that are comparable to her.

Ruth Handler sculpted Barbie to resemble an adult, and Ken is her boyfriend. The most popular doll sold by Mattel today is Ken, originally offered for sale in 1961. Barbie and Ken had a long-term relationship. On March 9, 1959, they made their public debut at the American Toy Fair in New York City, but they had been seeing each other for weeks beforehand. According to legend, Barbie told Ken she loved him during their romantic holiday to Hawaii in 1963.

When the movie was first revealed by Universal Pictures in 2009, Laurence Mark served as the main producer. However, production didn’t begin until April 2014, when Sony Pictures acquired the film’s rights. After Sony lost the rights, Warner Bros. Pictures bought them after numerous changes to the authors and director as well as the choice of two different women to play the title part. Robbie was cast in the role in 2019 and is also a producer for the LuckyChap Entertainment company she co-founded alongside Mattel Films and Heyday Films. Gerwig’s collaboration with Baumbach as a co-writer and director was officially announced in 2021. Gosling and the rest of the cast were announced early in 2022, and in England, filming began in March and ran through July of that year.

Will the music for the movie include the well-known  “Barbie”  song?

“Barbie” won’t be at the celebration. The immensely popular song “Barbie Girl,” which was written by the band Aqua in 1997, won’t be included in the next “Barbie” film, according to the group. mostly due to Mattel’s decision to end its legal dispute with Aqua over the lyrics. Lene Nystrom, a Danish-Norwegian pop band, is led by its lead singer. When the Danish hit was launched, the Mattel brand, disturbed by the song’s message and worried about the song’s distribution, filed two lawsuits against the band for profit-driven product promotion. The California United States District Court, however, disregarded both lawsuits.
