The plot for Grantchester season 6 is set to be released shortly, as filming has been wrapped up. There will be a total of 8 episodes in the show’s sixth series. The first episode should air on ITV sometime in late 2022 or early 2023. The cast includes James Norton as Sidney Chambers and Robson Green as Geordie Keating, alongside guest stars such as David Warner, Hermione Norris, and Jessica Raine.

  • Hugh Rankin plays Leonard Finch, the vicar of St Andrew’s Church from 1956 to 1968 and again from 1979 until 1996. Then he retires and is replaced by Sidney Chambers.
  • Carolyn Pickles plays Mrs. Mags, who runs the Grantchester delicatessen and Post Office with her husband Henry (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor). She was nominated for a National Television Award in 2013 for Best Supporting Actress.

The Plot:

The plot of Grantchester follows Sidney Chambers (Norton), a charming, handsome, and unapologetically adulterous clergyman who turns to a murder investigation to escape his troubled past. Grantchester season six plot is yet to be announced. However, the upcoming installment will likely follow Sidney’s relationship with Amanda Kendall (Morven Christie) and his blossoming romance with new vicar Kate Reed (Sharon Small).
