Haikyuu is a sports anime series based on the manga of the same name. The plot revolves around Shōyō Hinata, who becomes inspired by an old volleyball player called Tobio Kageyama. Together with his friends, they form Karasuno High School’s first boys’ volleyball team in years and compete in national tournaments to show their skills against other schools.

About Haikyuu:

Haikyuu’s plot centers on Shōyō Hinata, who became inspired by the tall height of his volleyball-playing idol Tobio Kageyama. He decides to follow in his footsteps and join Karasuno High School’s men’s team himself upon entering high school even though he is shorter than average out of all players.

Release date:

The release date for Haikyuu season 5 has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be on screens in the year 2022.


Production for Haikyuu season is being handled by “Production I.G,” and this great team of people has been responsible for the production of hits series such as Ghost in a Shell, Ajin: Demi-Human, Terror. In Resonance, and many more! Haikyuu is produced by Production I.G, which has worked on other anime series such as Ghost in the Shell and Attack on Titan.

The Plot:

The plot of season five will be based on the manga “Haikyu!! Karasuno High School vs. Shiratorizawa Academy,” which is a match between two high school volleyball teams. In this plot, Haruichi Furudate has created an epic battle that takes place in Tokyo’s suburbs where Hinata and Kageyama face off against their rivals.

Part of the plot is that Hinata and Kageyama are now in different teams, but they still hold one goal: to defeat Ushijima’s team, which has won three consecutive national championships. In season five, Karasuno High School will have a rematch with Shiratorizawa Academy – the plot will revolve around the match.

The Starring Cast:
